Get to know the faces behind our passion

GENERAL MANAGER
Kasia is our amazing GM and has been with us for over 10 years, mentoring hundreds of young staff along the way. She loves a Buddha bowl salad with seabream and when she relaxes away from work, seasonal mushroom hunting is her thing.

Kasia “loves looking after our great team just as much as looking after our lovely customers”.

HEAD CHEF
Richard has been Head Chef at The Star for 11 years and his favourite style of food is Asian. Does he like best about the bump is the team he has now built in the kitchen.
When not working he loves baking reading and supporting Tottenham Hotspur.

SOUS CHEF
Michal has started work at The Star in 2015 his favourite food are his mum’s stuffed cabbage leaves and he loves a pint of lager. His favourite part about the pub is it is a family-run business and makes him feel like he's part of it and part of the family.
When not at work his passion is football.

MANAGER
Maddie has been a valued member of the management gang for the past 2 years and has brought a wealth of experience as well as a burst of fun and energy to the pub.

She loves a ‘gone trufflin’ pizza and photography is her hobby when relaxing. Maddie “really enjoys spending time with our friendly regulars”.

MANAGER
Daniel’s hobbies include playing chess, poker, and reading books, with Dan Brown being his favourite author.

In his free time, he enjoys practising archery.

His favourite food at the restaurant is the chicken bacon sandwich.

MANAGER
Faith has been part of the team for several years and has worked her way up to the Manager role. She loves mentoring new team members, helping them grow in confidence, and ensuring every guest enjoys a warm and welcoming experience. Her favourite dish is the spiced crispy cauliflower, and when she’s not at the pub, she enjoys watching musicals and spending time with her dogs.

SUPERVISOR

Izzy’s been here for a few months now and has settled in very quickly. Her favourite item on the menu is the mac and cheese. Her favourite thing about working at the pub is meeting new people and ensuring every customer is satisfied.

She loves music and in her free time she loves to spend time with her dog.

SUPERVISOR
Kseniyais passionate about creativity and self-expression, with a love for both reading and fashion design. She enjoys discovering new stories and styles, often drawing inspiration from the world around her. When it comes to food, her favourite indulgence is the vegan brownie with custard — a comforting classic she never tires of.

SUPERVISOR
Tayla is a friendly and familiar face at The Star, always ready with a warm smile and a genuine passion for great service. She loves getting to know her regulars and takes pride in making every visit feel personal and memorable. Outside of work, Tayla enjoys unwinding with a good book or a movie night — she’s always up for sharing a new recommendation.
